With regards to circulating media speculations over the fate of some "Generations: The Legacy" cast, official confirmation has been made that Denise Zimba and Asanda Foji will be exiting the show. Details below.
The SABC 1 soap confirmed through a statement on Tuesday afternoon that Zimba noted for playing vixen Mary Gumede on the show and newcomer Foji known for her portrayal of Simphiwe will bid farewell to the popular soapie.
However, contrary to earlier reports, Lebohang Mthunzi (Angela) and Ivy Nkutha (Gog’Flo) will be staying with the show.
The statement further states that Zimba asked to be released from her contract to pursue other interests.

“We enjoyed Denise's short stint on The Legacy. Her professionalism in aiding us mount a new show was exemplary. We wish her the best in her endeavours.” Showrunner Mfundi Vundla said in statement.
No explanation was given for Foji’s departure from the show.
