According to Sowetan Live, Rapper Morale has struck jackpot with a Lotto song. The Rapper just like Mafikizolo did back in 2000, sand about winning a lotto, and just like that did win. Not only did he wiun but his song is now the brand song for 'Ithuba', the national lottery operator. He is also the Brand ambassador for the game of numbers. More after the cut...
Morale, whose real name is Thabo Malefane, was calculating when he recorded Lotto. He pitched it to Ithuba successfully, then came up with a revamped version which is now the theme music on the new Lotto draw show on SABC2.
On the song he raps: "I'm feeling like ke nna ke winneng Lotto (I feel like the one who won the Lotto)".
Morale is a copywriting graduate from Vega College and he formerly worked as an insurance broker before he opened his record label, Neo Shanty Music.
Spurred on by the success of Lotto, Morale said he was now doing things differently.
"The idea is to involve corporates in my music.
This is a big step for hip-hop," he said.
Morale said for his efforts he got a payment for licensing and royalties, and some studio time to re-master.

The song is scheduled for a remix which will include two more rappers Morale will pick.
Kim Heller, head of corporate affairs at Ithuba Lottery, said they were positioning the Lotto show to be truly South African.
"We are glad to work with an authentic young South African artist to get our vision across.
We also thought that Morale's story is reflective of the dreams of many young South Africans."
