Sony Music Entertainment Africa proudly congratulate AKA and VthSeason for achieving sales in excess of 20 000 units for the album LEVELS. After a slew of chart topping hit singles, four of which remain in the Top 40 charts today, almost a year since the release, AKA’s sophomore album has not only set a benchmark for SA Hip Hop, but has opened up the African continent and the world to a new definition of this generation’s South African Artist.
The hip-hop hitmaker took to social media to share his big moment, posting on Instagram a snapshot of the plaque that certified his gold status. The “Jealousy” rapper also posted in a tweet: “To tell the truth, I never cared much for a plaque. To me the most important win, was to win in life ...well ... You be the judge of that.”
